I don't know about trickling away, mine appears to be running as fast as it can. I put it down to an accidental overdose of morphine whilst in hospital. It has some advantages though,my son informs me I am watching the same CSI episodes over and over. Keeps me entertained!!!

I already answered this question for you when you asked without so much detail. You can charge any amount of deposit you want up to the $1250. Your not being unreasonable. $400 is a little low, I'd still go with 1/2. If they do no damage you will have to return the full amount whatever you charge.

nope don't give it to him, if he wants it tell him he has to take you to court for it and let the judge sort it out. He will tell you what is fair and not fair. I believe you should be able to keep the ring just because of the way that he chose to leave you.

You have my deepest sympathy but you are the only one who can control your life.
My late wife, who was an amazingly strong woman, emotionally, was raped by 6 older boys and men when she was only 14. She was ostracised at school and called all kinds of names but she held her head high and overcame it all. when we first met and started to fall in love, she told me about it and said if I wanted to go away she would understand.
As bad as her experience was, in the end it made her a much stronger person.
Try to do the same for yourself, it will not be easy but if you are up to it, you came overcome this and be better for it.
I wish you love and the best life can offer.

I would say no, but try to keep this job while finding another so you do not have a gap in your resume. That might be the only good reason for staying where you are unhappy at present.

The ring is a gift to yo and so you get to keep that.

The furniture was bought in anticipation of living together which is not now going to happen so I'm afraid you heed to either divide into two of if that is not possible come to a financial deal to for you to pay something to him if you are to keep all the furniture.

Get a mutual friend to act as a "go-between". Even if the guy has been and ars*hole, you still need to be square with him

yes....in this competitive market today you are lucky to have a job! Just keep working, while applying to other places. But, you souldnt allow other people to effect your career. If I was you, I would just stick it out for a while to build a better resume, and try not to allow your coworkers to bother you

I am sorry for what has happened to you, and I wouldn't give him anything. I don't know about where you live, but I have always been under the impression, if he is the one who ended it, with no cause from you, you are entitled to the ring. I don't know why you would want to keep it, but I think you are allowed to. As far as the furniture, if he wanted it when he left, he should of taken it then. Screw him...let them sit on the floor, and let him go buy her another ring. If he wants to lay claim to the furniture because it was paid for together..tell him to pay you your half of it.
