Somehow, forever seems like a very long time. I like the notion Of “Till the end of the contract agreement do we part.”

Dude, I’m sorry. But if this is how you view marriage, I wouldn’t suggest you go through with it. Marriage is SUPPOSED to be forever, and if you don’t like the idea of forever, then please don’t dishonor the purpose of it and try to do a halfway job of it. If you’re looking for a contract thing, just move in with your partner, sign a contract and have it approved by a court, and then dissolve the contract if you guys don’t end up staying together. Don’t walk over the rest of us who actually take marriage – and the promises that go with it – seriously.

Then hire a call girl dufus.Or shack up.However even in shack ups, the people still end up in court over property and who gets what and visitation.

You mean like leasing a car?
Not that I know of. It seems like a lot of paperwork (but then, so does leasing a car).

It is called a prenup. Or you can make contract yourself between you and your partner with a time limit on the marriage celebrities do it all of the time. But if you truly love and care for this person forever is not enough time.

You can do that in most federal penitentiaries.

actually the Celtic handfasting ceremony is done like that it is not a legal wedding but the ceremony commits two people together for either
‘a year and a day’
‘for as long as the love shall last’
or
‘for this life and the next’
the ‘year and a day’ option was originally used as an engagement period but the ceremony could be renewed for that length of time if the couple felt the need.
I say forget the legal part and make your commitment known in the way that feels right to you.
