Her removal from power could occur through resignation or ouster, but the means are not necessarily relevant–the bottom line is that her six-year term would be cut short.
Per the Constitution, those in line for succession would be, in order, the Vice President, the Senate President, and the Speaker of the House. Respectively, the incumbents are Manuel Leuterio B. de Castro, Jr., Manuel B. Villar, Jr., and Jose C. de Venecia, Jr.

Well, I hope the line of succession would be a peaceful one.
I think Imelda believes she has still the right to be ruling the country, but I would hope none of the Marcos or their cronies would be involved.
Estrada had a chance to do good, but he was corrupt. I know personally there is much corruption there, from small town mayors to the government in Manila.
I just hope it’s someone that cares for the people.

Actually one of the reason why they cannot replace GMA as the president because no one deserving than her. She is actually the best president so far.
Well, I hope the line of succession would be a peaceful one.
If not, I really don’t know who to replace her because i noticed that the perceived presidential candidates in 2010 are very ambitious and self-centered.
Thay are all again “PAPOGI in the Media.

Gloria is first and foremost an illigitimate president because she cheated and should have been disqualified. So did De Castro.
Villar would be a good transitional (and legal) president until elections are held. Assuming of course, they were sucessful in removing her from her office.
To claim that Gloria is the ONLY qualified person is an insult to the 80million or so other Filipinos . From what that poster said, you would think she discovered fire or walks on water. Please say that to the millions who have already left and to the millions who want to leave and work overseas just so they could feed their families.

I dont like Noli De Castro but he is the only legit successor. The same way as GMA is the only legitimate successor to Erap.
I believe in what Trillanes and Lim are fighting for. They just need the support of businessmen and the few elite. What I dont believe in is the military junta (well thats what the government is saying about Trillanes’ plans).
We must all remember that GMA was put in Malacanang by forcing Erap out. It is only fitting that Mrs. Arroyo should be removed the same way. Afterall she is WORSE than Erap. In Erap’s time he is the only one making money (corruption). In GMA’s time, EVERYONE is making money (corruption). She is permitting all allies especially congressman to steal money so they would not oust her. So the effect is much worse!!!
I think Manny Villar is a better choice than Noli. He is more experienced. And lets hope that since he is already very rich, he would only steal a FEW. Lastly, De Venecia would be the worst choice. As everybody know, he is the most TRAPO of them all.
I just have to say this… JDV is still the Speaker because he is the leader of Lakas. If ever GMA pressures JDV to step down as Speaker, then GMA would lose some Lakas congressmen which would in turn be her own downfall. And JDV is not involved in any GMA Resign movement because he’s getting a lot of money from GMA. and JDV knows that if ever Lakas would bolt out of administration (or possibly join opposition), He will not be the Speaker. In short, GAMITAN LANG.
So who do you think is the best? Snap election, maybe.
