What additional costs do you need to consider when renting a flat ?

Im considering moving into a 3 bedroom apartment with two of my friends. What costs besides the rent would we need to consider (like water, gas, electricity) and what is the average cost ??

    For a 3 bed apartment:

    Council tax – likely cost £1,500pa (London prices)
    Water – allow £20pm
    Gas – allow £25pm
    Electric – allow £25pm

    Utilities depend on service provider, how frugal you are, and how energy efficient your home is.

    Contents insurance – allow £100pa
    Deposit – anything from one month’s rent to 6 weeks rent.

    Service charge, ground rent and buildings insurance are normally paid by the landlord.

    Council Tax
    Utilities (gas ,electric and water)
    TV license
    Phone line rental
    Cable/satellite rentals
    Insurance
    FOOD

    All will vary depending on the area you live in

    Im single and these are currently my bills = average (remember this is mine and can be different to yours):

    Mortgage: £255 (currently)
    Water – £30.35 (not on a meter)
    Council Tax – £70 (I get 25% discount living alone)
    Gas – £32
    Electric – £18
    Phone and Broadband – £15.50
    TV Licence – £12
    Food – £65
    Insurance (building and insurance) – £25
