I will maybe move over there and wanted to know what is the average renting price for a decent flat close to the beach (the cheapest one: Ocean beach, not la Jolla)?
My salary will be around 3 000$ a month

Ocean Beach is the 92107 zip code. Unfortunately 92107 also includes Point Loma. So when you check the house and apartment listings you will get prices for both areas.
Just going through the listings in general I would say a 1br would run $1100-$1500 depending on amenities. The standing rule is the closer to the beach, the higher the rent.
You may want to check the 92109 zip code. That’s Pacific Beach between Ocean Beach and La Jolla. PB is my first choice and favorite beach community.
Hopefully your $3000 is after taxes.
Best wishes to you!

Hmmm… trying to find a decent place near the beach with a salary of 3k a month… good luck… you may have to resort to room mates or a small apartment somewhere…
