how much do I need to set aside for taxes on short term contract work?
I am now working for a company on a short term (3 month) contract in Nevada and they are paying me without deducting taxes. How much should I be planning to put away to cover taxes?

I am switching providers(hopefully) and want to know who is the best provider for let’s say a short term contract? Where should i go? How much is good? Also who offers the most minutes/price?

Are there any places in Bristol,UK where you can get a short term loan from?
I’ve just started a new job (min 16hrs a week) but need atleast 1000 pounds to cover bills,rent and living costs till I started getting my wages through.Ive got bad credit. I haven’t gotten any payslips yet but have got a signed contract. Ideally would like a company in Bristol but if you know of any websites/places outside of bristol, I would appreciate it.

Over the long term, how does speculation affect the price of oil?
In the short term, I think it is clear that speculation affects oil prices, but over the long term, I am less than convinced. Specifically, with all derivatives, there is someone on the other side of the deal; it is a zero-sum game unless someone takes delivery. If speculation drove the long-term price of oil, it seems to me that the speculators would be required to take delivery of the oil at some point in hopes of selling it at a higher price. If the speculators are not taking delivery, supply and demand must dictate the price of oil as the long-derivative speculator simply offsets the position of the short-derivative speculator until the contracts settle or expire. Since speculators who do not take delivery are not affecting supply and demand, how could speculation cause a long term increase in the price? News commentators continue to bang the drum of speculation causing the price rises, but I remain unconvinced. Now is your chance to convince me where my analysis falls short.

short-term contracts for teaching English overseas?
I have wanted to teach English overseas ever since high school, and have obtained my English BA. I would love to teach from Jan-April 08, but I’m not sure if any schools offer 4 month contracts. It seems like they are either 6 months or (more commonly) 1 yr.
Does anyone know for sure if any place offers a 4 month contract? Thanks for your informed and friendly input!

I did not sign a renting contract with my landlord?
I pay the rent on time everymonth ,my landlord’s sister sold her house and her sister wants to move in my house ,my landlord ask us to move within 2 months ,but at the begining she was not willing to sign the contract and she orally promise us she will not sak us to move out as long as we pay the rent on time,we did it,my children still in school,and the dead line is the end of june,I only need to stay for few more months until my children finish the school ,it is very difficult for me to find an very short term contract for renting a house!what can I do?I will return the house but i need some more time!Is she legally can ask us to move out in such short notice without the contract signed by both parties?what are my right?thank you for your answer! Is it worth getting short term insurance in recession time?
I recently went to a women and money conference and one of the things they stressed was having short term disability insurance.
I went out and got a 6 month policy but it’s costing me about $70 a month. I just found out that my contract might not renewed in 6 months due to recession so should I cancel my short term disability insurance and save the $420 I’m paying out into savings? I won’t be able to continue the payments if I become unemployed so I’m not sure how one can have a sound economic plan when the recession might take your job away any day!
