Do I need to put furniture flat when applying polyurethane?
I have some unfinished furniture that I have sanded, primed, sanded, and put 3 coats of latex paint on. I want to apply polyurethane to protect it. For a dresser, for example, do I need to put the dresser on its side to do the other side (which would be up)? Basically, does the surface need to be horizontal or could I do the sides with the dresser standing up?

Anyone know of any great second hand furniture stores in the Vancouver area?
Just moved into an unfurnished flat and am looking around for great second hand furniture stores. I am totally aware of craigslist and all of that, but I thought I would give this a try and give some local business’ the extra $. Anyone know of anywhere?

What is my legal standing regarding house furniture?
My house is furnished with my former housemates furniture – the sofa, chairs and a bed all belong to him. He moved out one year ago allowing us to continue using the furniture and my new housemates and I have been making use of it since. I knew that one day he may want it back. The problem is I received a call from him this morning saying that he would like to collect all his furniture for his new flat on Tuesday.
I think this is very short notice as none of us are in any position to buy new beds or sofas.
Are we able to legally refuse his request?
What advice would you give?
I thought this was the case.
Please note, I do not want to refuse indefinately, but would like just a little more time.

What paint finish do i need for a white distressed look for furniture?
i’m not sure about whether i need a flat/matt finish or if it needs to be acrylic or oil paint etc. i rather like the ‘calky’ white finish some pieces have.
further, do i need to sand back varnish or can i just do extra coats?

Is there short term apartment for rent in riyadh saudi arabia?
I am invited by my husband to visit him at riyadh saudi arabia for two weeks vacation. However, his flat is for single occupancy only, now we are both looking for a place for a couple could stay, for just a couple of weeks, which will not be too costly and near at king Fahd or Batha. Is there a fully furnished or serviced apartment that you could refer?

What wall color would be good with accent colors of blue & lime green in a teen room?
Let me break it down(:
-Black/silver furniture with flat screen TV and computer.
-accessories are turquoise-y blue & lime green/green and black.
-Can’t paint a focal color but I have a focal design in mind (:
(please don’t say, “GO TO SHERWIN WILLIAMS or BEHR and see what you like!)
but you can refer to the colors.
I just want an OPINION on what color looks good together and looks classy instead of immature, haha.

Tenant problems how to get them out?
ok, long story short:
I have had tenants renting my flat for 1 year 4 months on a ( RENTAL AGREEMENT
FURNISHED ON AN ASSURED SHORTHAND TENANCY)
I have discovered that they have been making porn films in the property for a porn film company that I think they work for or something, The movies are filmed in my flat and the dvds are sold on the internet and lots of adult web pages.
Any way: this is breaking one of my terms and conditions on the contract being : ( 5. Not to receive paying guest or carry on or permit to be carried on any business , trade or profession on or from the property. ) filming the porn films 5 in total from what I have been showed is breaking the terms and conditions. I called a silicotor the other day and they want £260 ph , I mean this is just way to much to pay in my eyes, so is there any other way I can get this tenant out? Please your help will be verry welcome! I live in London UK, . Look forward to your replys! They paid me a deposit this wont be returned
I dont have a problem with porn persay, but when you have fully grown men standing on your expensive kitchen worktops then I have a problem with that, also I dont like the fact that my other tenants can hear them having sex ( man on man action ) doors slamming music playing till 11pm in the bedroom, its just not on in my views. And I dont care that they pay the rent on time. They move the flat around and perhaps causing damage to walls, floors and door frames. So that keys it up. I will use my friends silicotor and he is very very good
