What kind of out door furniture holds up in costal climate, (just moved to north padre island)?
Live close to beach and wanting some new lounge chairs to go by pool, does anyone have recommendations for some lounge chairs, (the kind that can lay to flat for tanning)?
thanks
2 blocks from the beach so it does tend to get a little windy, so no plastic

Help with wood furniture repair please?
Hi,I have a computer desk with a drawer with a fold down front for where the keyboard sits. I think that it is solid wood. It slides in and out and the front folds up to hide the keyboard,it then looks just like a regular drawer. When you open it the front would “fall down” flat and you pull the drawer out to be able to type. Anyways, one of the hinges from the front that folds down when you open the drawer to type on the keyboard lost the screws that hold it in place. I still have one hinge out of two left.
My question-FINALLY-is how can I fix the one hinge? The original screw holes are striped out. I only have about 1/4 inch of thickness in the drawer where they would go. Oh, and they are on the bottom of the drawer. I have found two of the three original screws.
I am not a very handy girl, so if you could explain it in easy to understand ways that would be great. LOL
I was thinking of wood glue with slightly bigger screws? Would this work? does any of that make sense?
What is a wood match stick?
Oh, dah, wood match sticks. LOL… sorry
My drill bits???? Do I have to buy drill bits?

I don’t understand the prices for apartments in Shanghai on Craigslist, can someone explain “CNY”
Okay, I’m wanting to move to China for a little while, so I’ve been looking for places on Craigslist. The prices, though, aren’t expressed in U.S. dollars, and I don’t know how to interpret them. Here’s a couple examples:
CNY7500 New Flats Daily, Weekly & Monthly Apartments by Owner Incredible View
CNY2300 350RMB/day, 2300RMB/week Hot Apartment Hotel Near Zhongshan Park Owner
CNY5500 Short/Long Terms – 75 sqm Furnished, Incredible View By Owner L@@K
But hwo much is that in U.S. $dollars?

Where can I get Laura Ashley style furniture for a fraction of the price?
I’m just about to buy my first flat and I really want to get some lovely furniture to give it a feminine, yet sophisticated and homely look and feel. I absolutely love Laura Ashley furniture especially their range of couches, but they are just too expensive for me.
Does anyone know where I can buy that style of furniture for a fraction of the price or where I can get Laura Ashley discounted products / seconds?
Thanks

What is the current market rate for renting out fully furnished 4rm flats in Jurong West?
Mine is a high floor unit and currently whole unit rented out to a group of students with furniture.
The rental agreement will be due in a couple of mths, now pending renewal. What is the reasonable rental I should collect? My place is 10min walk away from Jurong Pt. and they have been paying mthly rentals ontime.

I would like to make, not just assemble, my own flat pack furniture. Where can I learn about its hardware?
I’d like a bookcase headboard for my bed, but can’t find one I care for. I’d like to make my own using the kind of fastening hardware that comes with flat pack furniture at Ikea or Target (as opposed to fine carpentry joints).
I have a good understanding of the tools and hardware involved (auger and spade bits, cam screws and connectors); I’m looking for more information about placement and grades of bolts and fasteners to determine the best structural assembly. What are some good resources to tap?
Any online resource would be especially helpful: DIY websites or forums, sites with flat pack/RTA specifications, PDFs of assembly directions for similar pieces of furniture, etc?
To “I Need More Cowbell”:
We’re talking about the same thing: putting furniture together with hardware as opposed to carpentry joints such as biscuit joints, dovetails, butterflies. Flat pack furniture is anything that can be taken apart. It can be made of solid wood, or of laminated particle board. It can be well planned and sturdy, or poorly structured.
