Question about the birth control patch or Nuva Ring 10 points to best answer?
I had surgery last week for numerous female problems,( excision of endometriosis, detection of adenomyosis- 2 hernias and the removal of half of an ovary that had a large abnormal cyst.) Per the Dr.- (who is 1 of only 4 specialists for these diseases in the world) says I need to be on birth control to suppress the ovulation of that ovary until it heals otherwise I can produce a blood cyst, hematoma or other serious complications if it tries to ovulate as damaged as it is. I only need to be on something 2-3 months. Preferably 3. Problem is I get violently ill with the pill. I throw up, vertigo- I don’t no if its in relation to my women’s troubles or hereditary or what. Ive been on 6 pills and depo provera in 1.5 years and im on my 4th day of alesse (commonly known as Lybrel,or Aviane as generics)- Im not a lazy person, very athletic, and outgoing, I own a Business so I cant be throwing up and bed-ridden for 90 days nor would I even attempt it. My main question is- has anyone had the bad nausea/vomiting or other GI symptoms with the ring or patch. And is the patch even still available- Ive heard of all the lawsuits, but I only need it short term.
Also Ive tried all known remedies for taking the pill with nausea, taking it at different times, with and without food- with a milk-shake, I live on ginger and carbonated drinks to help pass nausea- and I go through more phenergan than a pregnant woman. I also tried inserting it vaginally- and I had lower GI complications but that could have been from the endo on my bowel- but Im scared to find out
Please help!!

What are the effects of epilation (hair removal by the roots)?
Like, short and long term effects.
Are the long term effects of epilation like the long term effects of waxing, by any chance? (The long term effects of waxing is finer and slower hair growth, loss of elastically of skin and premature wrinkling.)

If Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo were removed from power, who do you think should replace her and why?
Her removal from power could occur through resignation or ouster, but the means are not necessarily relevant–the bottom line is that her six-year term would be cut short.
Per the Constitution, those in line for succession would be, in order, the Vice President, the Senate President, and the Speaker of the House. Respectively, the incumbents are Manuel Leuterio B. de Castro, Jr., Manuel B. Villar, Jr., and Jose C. de Venecia, Jr.
Disclaimer: This is a purely hypothetical question prompted by recent events.

what isalternative to the ’ship breaking’ of huge ships (eg aircraft carrier)that has become environment issue
Around the world, old naval aircraft carriers are scrapped because they have exhausted their ‘military’ life in terms of metal shield, armament and the communication capabilities.
The ship so decommissioned by the military can be bought below its scrap value as environment concerns put a restriction to its disposal process. A French ship recently sent to India as scrap had to go through government and legal hurdles before it was allowed in Indian Territory. So its further use as an operating ship would always be worthwhile as the scrap value is retained.
PRODUCT & SERVICE
Such redundant ships are still seaworthy and can be positioned at high seas on rescue missions. After removal of heavy artillery, extra fuel tanks and other allied military equipment, it can be suitably modified to create space and area that can be used for
1.Producing & Storing potable water, food & medicine, rescue equipment and fuel to support the rescue & relief operations.
2.Constructing operation theatres, ICU and sick quarters on board.
3.Quarters for the medical and rescue staff.
4.Short term refuge for victims.
5.desalination plant
6.Communication and watch station.
Cyclones are detected and tracked by satellite as they gather strength. Experts also predict within reasonable time the area where the landfall would occur. Local doctors, fire-fighters and other rescue teams are themselves subject to disaster. But still they are the best persons as they know the local language and the local terrain. If these persons are removed from the scene in advance and placed on this aircraft carrier then after the disaster they can be flown in straight from this carrier and efficiently utilised as the rescuers in the area. The sick and infirm can be brought on this ship before or after the disaster. This need not be limited to cyclonic disaster but also others like earth quake and fires in SE Asia where there are island nations.
Why a ship for such rescue?
Cyclone Path is tracked by a weather centre for at least 3 to 5 days, before it hits the land. The location can be predicted within several kilometres. As such if a relief ship follows the cyclone path it remains in a safe zone behind the storm, but at the same time, is immediately available at the location close to the disaster area. A cyclone after making the land fall, due to the residual storm effect keeps the area for many crucial hours out of bounds for approach and rescue from the land side. Even helicopters cannot fly in. Further delay takes place after that because the relief convoys can start only after assessing the roads and runways conditions. In many countries like in Africa rescue convoys can be subjected to loot on the way. This journey then takes place on the damaged roads in adverse weather conditions. The air journey after such confirmation may take further many hours to reach the nearest airport which it self may be far. Most of the time with the radio communications destroyed the actual requirement cannot be assessed. In such cases it normally happens that required items are missing and other items clutter the available storage area. A fleet of such ships can be acquired by United Nations and can be positioned at frequently affected locations around the world.
COST OFFSET
Up till now the relief measures start taking shape after the disaster is struck and governments react. The cost of making hundreds of flying sorties of supplies from say Europe to SE Asia can be achieved by sending the closest ship to the area and then transporting required items to shore in hovercraft or barges. Being lighter than the normal military equipped ship it can navigate closer to the land.
A team of medical staff could be earmarked for particular duty periods and familiarisation trips could be made during normal times to achieve better efficiency.
The cost of manning and operation of such fleet could be very low as it does not require the military alertness and defensive maintenance. The economy and saving as compared to land and air transport over next few missions would itself compensate for the costs.
4.Who is the end user of this Idea / Product / Technology?
The end users are the individual Nations under the auspices of the United Nations..
5. The unique feature of this Idea / Product / Technology and how is this different from those existing in the market? Have you done a Prior Art Search through website or other means to determine the uniqueness / novelty of your Idea / Product / Technology?
I am not aware that such dedicated rescue ships are in use any where in the world. Whenever there is a disaster the UN or individual Nations come up with their own plans to provide rescue. They use their military ships which can offer limited space and cannot fulfil long term multiple missions. Chaos occurs at airports and seaports. There are duplications and at other time there are language problems, written and spoken. Main load on these flights is water bottles, tents and blanket.
6.The problems that the envisioned Idea / Product / Technology addresses
None.
7.Is anyone else in the world doing similar work (that you are aware of) and is a similar technology already in use?
Please See #5
8.Special laboratory & test facilities required for this Technology
A ship-building Yard facility would be required for the conversion and modification.
9.Which tests have been carried out and what were the results?
Which further tests remain to be carried out?
None required
10.Other potential uses / applications of the Idea / Product / Technology
During normal times it can be used as a
•staging post
•watch post for military, coast guard, customs
•marine training school.
•oil rig or sea accidents rescue and
•oil spillage control.

Penis and scrotum hair removal issues?
I have researched many options of mid to long term hair removal treatments and most of them sound extremely painful. I, as many sexually active males, tend to shave the hair off the shaft of the penis and the scrotum. Although this produces immediate and effective results, it is in fact only short term.
Waxing is also popular option most males tend to go for, however I would only consider this as a last result. My question to you all, is would Veet (the hair removal cream for women) work? Has anyone had this same problem and tried veet as a solution?
Thank you all very much in advance for your answers, they are very much appreciated.

Teenage Girl Facial Hair?
I’m 14, and I have dark, thick brown hair. I have noticed some extra facial hair on my upper lip, the side burn areas and my lower stomach/back – it’s fine, but still noticeable – and some whisker kind of things on my cheeks and chin. I’m wondering between alternatives of what I should use to solve this? I’m not sure what caused it in the first place; could it be hormonal imbalance? PCOS?
It does lower my self esteem. I’m going to try and get to a doctor to see why. In short term, what’s the best solution for this hair? Waxing? Hair removal creams? Plucking?
I do pluck, but it doesn’t do much. I’m mostly considering waxing, because it’s allot less time consuming and removes it all in one go from the root, and you only need to do it about once a month. But I’m worried about the irritation/inflammation that could possibly occur subsequently.
Could you give me some advice or suggestions please?
Thanks for reading this.

What is the argument for democracy?
I’ve noticed that nobody ever argues for democracy. Instead, democracy is just considered to be good because it is good. Anything that is “democratic” is defined as good and anything that is “undemocratic” is defined as bad.
However, until recently, this was not the case. Throughout most of the history of thought (in both the West and the East), democracy has been considered to be the worst form of government imaginable. Democracy has been traditionally regarded as a system of mob rule, corruption, instability, and moral decay. Traditionally, political theorists were split between Monarchism (either constitutional, but with a real monarchy instead of a figurehead, or unconstitutional) and Republicanism (which is like democracy, but with restrictions on voting and with a constitution that is strictly constructed; the United States was founded as a Republic, but has since become a Democracy, thanks to the removal of property qualifications for voting, the passage of the 17th Amendment, and the government’s lack of concern for the Constitution). Furthermore, it is increasingly a settled fact in economics that political democracy is a bad (although a democratic economy, the system commonly called “capitalism,” is generally considered by economists to be the only coherent economic system). Economists argue that voters are irrational, that voters and politicians are inherently inclined to short-term thinking, and that corruption is inherent in democracy. There have even been arguments that democracy leads to more war and to more severe wars (through conscription, for example, which makes the entire population of a country potential enemy combatants, encouraging targeting of civilians).
The empirical evidence tends to confirm that the criticisms of democracy are justified. There have been numerous corruption scandals under democracy and special interest spending is the way of life, no matter how many times voters try to vote the crooks out (for example, the Republicans who came into office promising to clean up DC ended up being just as corrupt as the Democrats they replaced). Voters have repeatedly voted for politicians who advocate economically ignorant policies (for example, protectionism, discredited since the days of Adam Smith, continues to get votes). Democracy has led to racist policies in countries where large racial minorities exist (for example, America in the early 20th century). The worst wars in history have been democratic wars (for example, the French Revolutionary Wars, World War I, World War II, and all of the Imperial wars of the American Empire). It is, of course, no coincidence that the Neo-Cons are big fans of democracy and favor exporting it to the Middle East. It is also no coincidence that Woodrow Wilson’s War to Make the World Safe for Democracy was responsible for causing most of the problems of the last century (including WWII, the Cold War, and the “War on Terror”). The Versailles Treaty caused WWII (Hitler and Mussolini came to power because of popular resentment over the mistreatment of Germany and Italy by this treaty) and the mess in the Middle East (by giving the British control of Palestine, allowing them to make the massive blunder of handing Palestinian land over to the Israelis, which has been the root cause of Muslim resentment of the West). Communism was allowed to take over Russia because the Germans decided to send Lenin to Russia to take Russia out of WWI.
How exactly can democracy be considered superior to Monarchism or Republicanism? I agree with advocates of democracy that democracy is superior to communist or national socialist dictatorships, but it is a logical fallacy to claim that democracy and dictatorship are the only 2 possible forms of government. Aristotle claimed that there were 6 different types of government, 3 of which are good forms and 3 of which are bad forms. Aristotle believed that the 3 good forms of government were Monarchy (rule of 1 for the common good), Aristocracy (rule of a few for the common good), and Republic (rule of the many for the common good) and that when perverted they become Tyranny (rule of 1 for his own benefit), Oligarchy (rule of a few for their own benefit), and Democracy (rule of the majority for their own benefit). Can it really be argued that democracy is the best form of government or is that argument only possible when the only alternative to Democracy is considered to be Dictatorship?

Spot scars on back and chest? sooo ugly! How do I conceal them for the summer? Puhleease?
Guys, I really need your help. I started getting terrible acne on my chest and back last year. Went to see my doctor last week and am now on antibiotics. I have good diet, fitness, skin-care regime, drink lots of water etc etc.
I have had to wear high-neck t-shirts and polo necks to cover it. It’s really getting me down. Don’t have as much spots now, but the scars left behind are so bad (red and very prominent).
Can anyone give me some first-hand advice on something good for scar removal and/or something for the short-term to conceal them (body make-up, concealer…)
Would really appreciate your help and advice. Can’t stand to have to wear sweaters in the summer and not be able to go on holiday’s and wear a bikini. I feel like an ugly monster.
Cheers guys x
